He obtained a Diploma in Hotel Management from Institut Pengurusan Perhotelan (NPC) in 1993. He has managed several hotels in Malaysia including Dorsett Hospitality International in Johor Bahru. He was also briefly attached to agoda.com. His achievements among others include creating new business opportunities pre-dominantly in the online area, achieving high sales results in short timeframes, creating sell-out hospitality packages and establishing himself as a true people person and revenue manager over the years and as proven throughout all his endeavors.<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nRamanesh is also a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality Management, Ireland and was accredited by the same institute in 2003 as a Certified Hospitality Manager &amp; Trainer. He was also very actively involved in The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) in the capacity of Management Committee and Board Member. Ramanesh was the voice behind MAH Selangor Chapter where he was Secretary-General and then Chairman from 2000 till 2012. He also piloted the career awareness project for hotels and successfully produced and released a career video titled \u201c A Day in the Life of a Hotelier\u201d which was used extensively by many colleges and universities offering Hospitality courses to provide an insight on career goals. An education Scholarship Fund was also mooted by him to provide free hospitality training to hoteliers around Malaysia which is still in force today.<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nRamanesh is also an accredited Star Rating Inspector for all hotels in Malaysia and was a previous board member of Selangor Tourism and Ministry of Tourism Malaysia. Most recently, he was selected as a panel judge for the Kuala Lumpur Mayor\u2019s Tourism Awards 2014 for his vast experience and expertise. Ramanesh was a pre-opening consultant and trainer for hotels and 3 of his newest projects are the opening of Eiffel Hotel Petaling Jaya and The Settlement Hotel Melaka and Cosmo Hotel KL. He has also trained employees in numerous hotels and golf clubs across Malaysia for the SLDN program held by Ministry of Human Resource and is also currently engaged as a freelance lecturer with Open University Malaysia for the Executive Diploma in Hospitality Management program. He also freelanced with Taylors University for their Diploma in Hospitality program as a module lecturer in 2013.
