Alila\u2019s first Cambodian resort is recognised for its innovative design, personalised service and unique experiences. The property offers picturesque bays, dramatic peninsulas, beaches and forests. Two and four-bedroom villas enable families to enjoy the their privacy with a terrace, pool and garden as well as optional chef and butler services while the one-bedroom villas provide an exclusive honeymoon experience. The 50-pavilion, 13-villa resort has strong Khmer influences and its design has been endorsed by EarthCheck, an Australia-based organisation that has benchmarked and certified areas of operational and environmental sustainability. Most of the island\u2019s vegetation has been preserved with the low-density structures accounting for just 15% of the 24ha property. Other sustainable features include systems that automatically adjust lighting and temperature when guests enter or leave their villa, a 200m fishing exclusion zone and a nursery to nurture trees. Meals are served in Horizon (\u00e0 la carte breakfasts and dinners with an emphasis on French and French fusion) and the Beach Shack (Khmer cuisine, seafood and light dishes). Spa Alila offers holistic treatments and recreational facilities include a pool and well-equipped fitness centre with private yoga room where guests can enjoy complimentary daily yoga and tai chi classes. Guests can join guided excursions to temples, highland trekking in Bokor National Park and exploring Kep\u2019s Crab Market or Kampot\u2019s pepper plantations.
