While Samba Brazilian Steakhouse is a well-established restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, the adjoining Skewer Bar has just opened to offer some sizzling hot and wickedly cool cocktails in a semi-open setting overlooking KLCC. Patrons on the third floor of Avenue K have a front row seat to the bright lights of the Twin Towers and the action orchestrated by the creative bar team. What used to be Whisky, Tango Foxtrot Bar has morphed into a cool cocktail lounge where the bar team design cocktails to accommodate the varied palates of its patrons. Try cocktails such as City Mutual with ingredients such as apple brandy (Laird’s Applejack), bourbon (Wild Turkey), cherry liqueur (Luxardo), Chartreuse and Dom Bénêdictine. Skewer is prepared to experiment and take twists and turns with its ingredients and presentation. Its Passionfruit Pisco deviates from the norm with a dash of 16-year old Lagavulin Scotch whisky to inject a hint of smokiness to the original recipe.
