Tuscany is one of the most famous wine regions in the world producing many iconic wines including Chianti in its various forms. One of the most impressive wineries is Querciabella, a plant-based biodynamic wine producer with several estates within the Chianti Classico region as well as in the Maremma Commune bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea. Owner, Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni recognised the importance of organic production as way back as 1988 but now the winery is entirely plant-based biodynamic. It produces a range of red wines ranging from ITG to DOCG standard including Chianti Classico (Sangiovese) and a Super Tuscan produced from the classic international varieties of Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot.
Not to be missed is a delicious white wine Batàr made from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanco grape varieties grown in the maritime estates of Maremma. Querciabella wines appeal not only for their green conscious but also their highly professional approach to viticulture and wine production. Querciabella wines are distributed in Malaysia by AsiaEuro.
