Tasman Sea Salt, harvested from the pristine, nutrient-rich waters of Tasmania’s East Coast, is Australia’s purest natural sea salt and the choice of many leading chefs. Originating from some of the world’s cleanest waters, Tasman Sea Salt retains all the trace minerals and nutrients found in the sea. This provides for bright, white, sea salt flakes rich in potassium but with lower sodium levels than many other salts. It has an incredible depth of flavour that elevates and enhances the taste of food. The company uses innovative technologies in its production process to harness sustainable energy sources including solar and thermal energy. This ensures that the production process minimises any impact on its surrounding environment. Two new sea salt mixes combine white salt flakes with Tasmanian pepperberry and locally-foraged wakame seaweed. Founders and farmers Chris Manson and Alice Laing returned from the United Kingdom to Chris’ home-state Tasmania in 2013, with the dream of producing one of the world’s finest sea salts.  With their passion for artisanal produce and gourmet food, every part of the production process is a labour of love for the couple. www.tasmanseasalt.com.au
