The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has announced the appointment of Jill Goh as General Manager. A seasoned hotelier, she has been with the group since 1993, serving previously as Resident Manager at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore and Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London until 2013, when she was appointed Corporate Operations Manager – Asia, based in Hong Kong. From 2015, she then held the role of General Manager at Mandarin Oriental Macau. A Malaysian, Goh holds an Executive MBA from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Diploma in Hotel Management from Switzerland’s HotelConsult.

Industry Veteran for The Westin Desaru Coast Resort
The Westin Desaru Coast Resort has appointed Vikram Mujumdar as General Manager of the resort. He is a well-experienced and highly respected industry veteran with over two decades of knowledge of all aspects of management and operations of hotels worldwide. Over the years, his work in the industry has seen him holding key management roles in various countries across three continents. Prior to Desaru, he was most recently Task Force General Manager at St. Regis Vommuli Resort on Dhaalu Atoll in the Maldives. Mujumdar was born in India and received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of Madras, Loyola College in Chennai, in 1991, before going on to receive his Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in May 1999.

Spanish Leadership at Meliá Ho Tram
A seasoned professional with luxury hospitality experience in Europe and Asia and an enthusiasm for employee development has been appointed to helm the new five-star Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort Vietnam. Spanish national Manuel Ferriol is spearheading the 17ha-beachfront property at Ho Tram, a two-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City. Ferriol has worked for Meliá for the past 15 years, including acting Resident Manager at Gran Meliá Fenix Madrid and Resident Manager at TRYP Palma Bellver By Melia Mallorca. In 2014, he became Director of Operations at Meliá Hanoi and two years later, he was promoted to General Manager Meliá Danang. The 152-room and 61-villa Ho Tram property opened in April.

Pullman Kuala Lumpur Welcomes New General Manager
The Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel and Residences has appointed Wolfgang Kiesel as General Manager. He graduated from Bergius School Frankfurt, Germany and was previously involved in rebranding Pullman Jakarta Indonesia. He has held senior management positions in Jakarta, Xiamen, Heifei, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei and most recently, Jinjang, China. He brings 30 years’ experience to the hotel and will be taking the lead in moving the hotel’s financial performance forward and setting a new direction for the enhancement of operations of the five-star property.

Spa Expert Helms Alba Wellness Valley
Wellness-inspired hospitality brand Fusion has hired former team member Hylton Lipkin as General Manager of Alba Wellness Valley by Fusion, a natural hot springs resort and hotel on the outskirts of Vietnam’s imperial capital Hué. A South African, he has spent the last two decades honing his spa and management skills around the globe with roles in the Middle East, Europe, the USA and Asia Pacific. His most recent role was as head of a boutique property Lao Poet Hotel in Vientiane, the Lao capital. His knowledge of the spa industry extends to Arovada by AKARYN, a private island wellness retreat in Cambodia and the Ayurah Wellness Centres in Thailand. Alba Wellness Valley includes the upscale Alba Wellness Resort Hué and the neighbouring Thanh Tan Hot Springs.

He is a well-rounded hotelier with over 15 years’ experience, having worked in the UAE, Russia, Seychelles, Tanzania and South Africa for international brands like Hyatt, Kempinski and InterContinental. His career began in hospitality as a restaurant manager in his native South Africa in 2004. Between 2006 and 2011, he was Food and Beverage Manager for North Island, Seychelles and Kempinski Bilila Lodge in Tanzania. Afterwards, he relocated to Russia and in 2016, joined Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

He is highly experienced in a number of different leadership positions with Accor in a variety of Australia’s hottest locations including Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin and Kununurra. His career to date with Accor includes roles in operational and talent leadership as well as acting as National Chair of Accor’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee. He comes to his new role after four years as Franchise Operations Manager for three Australian states where he assisted the opening or re-branding of 12 Accor properties.
